Opinion is no crime
Three years is not the longest I've stayed in a fandom. Nevertheless, it was enough time for me to encounter my favorite character in it, to find out what other fans had to say about him -- and how much I disagreed with most of them if not all. Neither is Ed a "born genius" like he's often assumed to be, nor is his position in Fullmetal Alchemist as simple as the "cool, fearless protagonist". To take Alphonse's words for it: "My brother paid a heavy price called Hard Work to reach where he's standing today."
Opinion is possibly the most important section at Edelweiss, which however is all kinds of sad right now: I've got other priorities at fenali and child networks at the moment. That being said, you can still find a couple of finished essays as well as a preview of upcoming content below -- they should at least last for a minute or two.

Edelweiss is a type of mountain flower originating from Europe. Its scientific name -- Leontopodium alpinum -- is translated as "lion's paw", derived from Greek words. Strong, persistent, brave... quite symbolic of Ed's character, don't you think?
