As obvious as Mr. Shrimp is one of Fullmetal Alchemist's most respected characters, it's surprising how little attention is paid to him, or to FMA fandom in general online. Edelweiss mainly serves as Ed's approved fanlisting, but will remain a work-in-progress as new possibilities open doors through materials produced by the mastermind of Hiromu Arakawa.

Edelweiss is a type of mountain flower originating from Europe. Its scientific name -- Leontopodium alpinum -- is translated as "lion's paw", derived from Greek words. Strong, persistent, brave... quite symbolic of Ed's character, don't you think?
